It was a huge disappointment for fans worldwide who had been looking forward to watching Ironman 70.3 Oceanside. The livestream, which was broadcast on Outside, did not work at all; it failed dozens of times, faltered, the sound dropped out several times and sometimes skipped minutes of the race. Both Ironman and Outside are facing a huge amount of criticism on social media.

This is quite understandable, because viewers missed out on a pretty exciting race: in the men’s race, the decision was not made until the last kilometer, and in the women’s race, the race development was also very exciting. But, there was little to enjoy now, because the livestream was barely watchable.

Ironman and Outside have come in for a lot of criticism, especially since Ironman recently announced that Outside is the perfect partner for providing their livestreams and a large part of this year’s IM races will be broadcast via Outside.
