When we communicated a new race date for IRONMAN Italy Emilia-Romagna due to regional elections only a few days ago, we were provided with confidence that we would still be able to deliver an exceptional event as planned, and our team was very much looking forward to hosting athletes in Cervia.

Unfortunately, as things continue to evolve quickly due to reasons related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and after further conversations with the local and regional authorities, we regret to advise that IRONMAN Italy Emilia-Romagna can no longer take place in 2020. The event will now return on September 18, 2021.

Athletes should have now received an email with further details. If you have additional questions or have not received the email with further information, please contact italy@ironman.com. While we are prevented from holding the event in 2020, we look forward to providing athletes with an exceptional event experience in 2021.
