Sprint-Training und Plyometrics machst Du? Hat bei mir zumindest für die "Grundschnelligkeit" und 3-10k durchaus was gebracht.

Zitat:
In a study by Ker, it was found that the Achilles tendon stores 35% of its kinetic energy, while tendons that are in the arch of the foot store 17% (1987). It has been estimated that without the two aforementioned mechanisms of storage and release of elastic energy, the VO2 required would be 30-40% higher (Saunders et al., 2004). To properly utilize these elastic mechanisms, the body has to be in optimal position biomechanically and the tendons have to be trained to utilize the forces. Rapid movements such as sprinting or plyometrics will train the tendons to be better able to utilize the energy.
