Das lag aber vor allem an heftigen Schmerzen durch einen Ermüdungsbruch:

Dort steht auch etwas über sein nicht allzu umfangreiches Training für den 1. Marathon:
"His training program includes modest mileage, long runs that barely reach 18 miles, and cross training to minimize the pounding on his body."

Ansonsten würde ich die Diskussion aber zurückstellen, bis der Start feststeht. Falls er 2010 knapp am Toursieg scheitert, erwarte ich eher, dass er 2011 noch mal die Tour fährt.
