Carfrae hatte Sutton da gar nicht auf seiner Liste und erwartete Cave und die nicht auf der Startliste stehende Wellington als schärfste Konkurrentin.
Dass Ryf 'ne schnelle Athletin ist, steht außer Frage, aber ein schneller Marathon unter Hitzebedingungen wie in Kona ist zweifellos nicht ihre Lieblingsdisziplin.
