Anna hatte mir schon mitgeteilt, warum sie bei dem Ardennen-Rennen nicht gestartet ist, aber jetzt auch öffentlich auf Facebook:
"11. Juni
This year I hit a couple of speed bumps and my performance so far hasn't been at the level that I am capable of / that I have had in the past. Stress and sickness have interrupted my training at unfortunate times (e.g. the beautiful race in the French Alps last weekend was a disappointment as I was still recovering from a cold that I had caught after the big racing block in May).
I'm not writing this to complain or give excuses - I'm actually quite ok with the situation, mature enough to not let my happiness depend all too much on power numbers or race results, and grateful for the many valuable lessons I've learnt (not least thanks to my teammates @israelpremiertechroland).
Humans aren't machines; health and performance are never guaranteed. The body is mysterious, and even after all the years of training, it can still surprise me (in good and bad ways). I skipped the Tour des Pyrénées this weekend in order to have some stress-free training days at home - which I think was a good idea - and now I'm cautiously optimistic about the next races: Tour de Suisse (17.-20.6.), Nationals (24./25.6.) and the Giro (30.6.-9.7.) 🤗"
16 harte Renntage innerhalb von gut 3 Wochen warten also auf sie.
Hoffe, das läuft!
