BBC Studios’ award winning Science Unit announces a brand new series with Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg at Showcase 2020 event.
The series will follow Greta’s international crusade, which takes her to the front line of climate change in some of the most extraordinary places on earth, as she explores what actions could be taken to limit climate change and the damage it causes.

Scientists across the world agree that global temperature rise needs to be limited to 1.5 degrees, to give us the best possible chance of avoiding irreversible chain reactions. Throughout the series a chorus of these experts will lay out the science that lies beneath this unambiguous statement.

As she travels Greta meets not only leading scientists but political leaders and business heavyweights, exploring the scientific evidence with them and challenging them to change.

The films will also charts her own journey into adulthood as she continues to be confronted by the real world consequences of inaction; and will share some of the quiet moments as she writes the impactful speeches that are now broadcast and analysed around the world, as she lives a teenage life like no other.

Offensichtlich hat man nun doch mit immensem Aufwand (!!!) eine Therapie für Greta T. hinbekommen. Weil es ja für Hollywood nicht gereicht hat. Dass Greta schwere Probleme in ihrer sozialen Wahrnehmung hat, darüber hatte qbz als Experte referiert hier, insofern, dass bereits schon viel früher eine therapeutische Intervention hätte stattfinden müssen, wie, so qbz, in Deutschland Usus, nicht aber so in Skandinavien.

Schade eigentlich, da nun Greta von der Filmindustrie absorbiert wurde und als Agitatorin weniger oder keine Performance mehr bieten kann? Wen interessiert schon, wie ein "Asperger-Teenie" (managerperspektivisches Schablonendenken) mit Hilfe der Filmindustrie versucht erwachsen bzw. gesund zu werden? Die Teilnehmer in Davos beim Weltwirtschaftsgipfel wohl kaum. Man hat Greta gekauft mit der Hauptrolle in einer daily soup. Unglaublich. BBC bad british company. Jede*r hat wohl seinen Preis. Edith: bis auf Körbel. Ihre, GTs, Verdienste sind unbestritten. Möge sie im Film-Business glücklich, gesund und erwachsen werden. Ich wünsche ihr dies sehr.

Wir können den Thread schließen, imho, wobei eine abschließende Würdigung oder Laudatio der Person Greta Thunberg und ihres Beitrags zur Verbesserung des Weltklimas noch formuliert werden müsste, freilich, und natürlich von jemanden, der das gut kann.
