Das Feld würde sich besser differenzieren wenn man gleich bis Femes hoch fahren würde :Lachanfall:

Stimmt, aber vorher kommt die Prügelei im Wasser, danach dann erst mal ein Halbmarathon in der WZ bis man sein Rad gefunden hat und dann käme erst Femes.
Das wäre schon ein Scharfrichter!:cool:

Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen wie das mit dem Schwimmen klappen soll. Wie der erste Wechsel und der Radstart vernünftig funktionieren soll. Wie ein sauberes Rennen auf den ersten 60 km möglich sein soll. Was passiert, wenn bei der Menge Leute auf der Strecke Windstärke 5 und Böen sind. Wie sie die Laufstrecke entzerren und eine vernünftige Endversorgung gewährleisten wollen.

An Pastaparty oder Awardsdinner will ich gar nicht denken.

Ich hab mich so auf nächstes Jahr gefreut, aber ich will nicht mehr als nötig Angst um meine Athleten haben.

Daniel hatte die Tage mal eine e-mail über die Veranstalter-Website gesendet, einfach auch um seine/unsere Bedenken bzgl. der vollen Strecken mitzuteilen.

Heute kam die Antwort, ich hoffe, daß ist OK, wenn ich das einfach mal so hier reinsetze:

you should not be worried for the swim or the bike course.

We decided to accept more participants this year as we will not open any waiting list. Last year we had a waiting list and we had about 500 cancelations; we expect the same for 2013.
The swim is a one start... this is the beauty of this sport...last year we had no problem at the swim start...remember the Ironman is a long day and participants know that they don't win or lose the race in being smart at the start of the swim.

I am happy to tell you that last year we had less accident on the bike course, and the police reported that the road is much safer with more athletes.

Drafting is a issue but we will have more judges on the road and we will be harder against people who might cheat.

We are looking forward to see you racing on Lanzarote

passt nicht zu der Aussage auf der Homepage (oder Facebook), dass sie sicherstellen wollen, dass mind. 1800 Athleten am Start stehen. Und damit sind es dann immer noch 250 mehr als letztes Jahr.

Aber was soll sie auch sonst schreiben?

Mal sehen, ob ich die gleiche Antwort bekomme...
