Ich habe das schon mal in einer Sendung angedeutet. Die Vorgabe von TBB war, daß alle Athleten bis Ende 2008 die Sponsoren und Ausrüstung des Teams übernehmen müssen. Zumindest Belinda und Chrissie haben da sicherlich Probleme. Bei Hillary weiß ich das nicht so genau. Belinda ist auch nicht als Teammitglied geführt worden, sondern als "affiliate". Diese Unterscheidung wird es ab 2009 nicht mehr geben. Ich bin gespannt, wie sich das ganze auf die Leistungsfähigkeit der Mädels auswirkt. Bietet auf jeden Fall Raum für Spekulationen.

Es gibt ein paar Kommentare von Biskay, English, McGlone und schließlich auch Chrissie.

Schmutzige Wäsche wird "leider" nicht gewaschen.

Das Waschen schmutziger Wäsche gehört ja eigentlich auch nicht in die Öffentlichkeit. Von daher würde es mich auch wundern wenn jetzt postwendend die wahren Gründe für den Wechsel verlautbart werden würden...

Was aber Wellington auf ihrer HP schreibt, grenzt ja schon an Volksverdummung:
"TeamTBB is focused on helping ‘development athletes’ who might otherwise not have the opportunity to succeed in professional triathlon. I no longer fit into their framework."

Klingt, als ob TeamTBB Wellington den Wechsel selbst nahegelegt hat, weil sie ja jetzt kein Nachwuchsathlet mehr ist und außerdem sich auch schon selbst eine warme Mahlzeit am Tag kaufen kann. Sehr glaubwürdig...:( :Nee: Insbesondere wenn man die Namen der verbleibenden "Development-Athletes" (=Nachwuchsathleten) liest (die ja alle viel älter als Wellington sind). Csomor, Comerford, Keat, Spirig. Die passen also nach wie vor gut "into their framework" und hätten ohne die selbstlose Hilfe von Team TBB keine Chance im rauhen TRi-Profi-Alltag zu bestehen?

Dann schon lieber gar keine Begründung, als das Auftischen solcher Märchen.

ich bleib dabei: Normalerweise wechselt man einen Trainer bei anhaltender sportlicher Erfolglosigkeit. Wenn man einen Trainer auf dem Gipfel des sportlichen Erfolges austauscht, liegen die Gründe abseits des sportlichen, im zwischenmenschlichen Bereich. Und wenn das gleich drei der besten Athleten gleichzeitig tun. steckt noch ein bisschen mehr dahinter, auch wenn wir es vielleicht nie erfahren werden.

Immerhin ist diese Sprachregelung kompatibel mit dem, was TBB selbst verkündet:

Und genau darum hab' ich Volksverdummung genannt.

"Trennung in gegenseitigem Einvernehmen". Das gibt es nicht im Berufsleben, nicht in der Liebe und schon gar nicht bei einer Trainer-Athlet-Beziehung...

Wenn beide Seiten auch noch extra betonen, wie harmonisch die Trennung abgelaufen ist (Vorstandswechsel bei Konzernen, Trainerwechsel in der Fußball-Bundesliga, dann steckt hinter den Kulissen meist das genaue Gegenteil (massiver Streit, Zerwürfnis, Dysharmonie).

Aber mir kann's ja egal sein. Wenn's mich direkt betreffen würde, würde ich damit wohl auch kaum an die Öffentlichkeit gehen.
