Neuerung bei Bezahlung der Slotvergabe?

Bisher mussten evtl. Qualifikanten ja immer genug "Bares" zur Slotvergabe mitschleppen.
Nun habe ich dies durch Zufall als Änderung für 2014 entdeckt:

 Credit / Debit Card (VISA and Mastercard only)
Athletes who accept their slot must pay their slot fee via VISA/Mastercard credit/debit card at the slot allocation venue. Your registration for the race can then be completed at a later stage.
Please note that no cash or cheques will be accepted.

Hängt vom Veranstalter des Ironman ab.
Wir haben unseren Slot beim IM Wales 2011 schon mit Kreditkarte bezahlt und auch 2013 wieder unsere Plastikkarte über den Tresen gereicht. Es kommen allerdings dann noch Kreditkartengebühren (glaub 6%) mit drauf.

Ich freue mich schon auf den ersten Thread hier im Forum, in dem jemand berichtet, dass er nicht nach Hawaii darf, weil seine Mastercard nicht funktionierte :-)

IMHO ist diese Kreditkartensache eine gute Neuigkeit.

Es kommen allerdings dann noch Kreditkartengebühren (glaub 6%) mit drauf.
Selbst bei AmEx zahlt ein Händler längst keine 6%, d.h. das ist Abzocke.

In Wisconsin beim Ironman (2012) wurde auch nur noch per credit Karte bezahlt...
