Hello,

I am searching for someone to train with in Karlsruhe.
Especially in swimming and biking, a company could be helpful.

I am also looking for people who want to share their triathlon or even Iron Man experience with me

I am a runner (marathon and half marathon) and I would like to do my first triathlon this year

Thanks to all of you

Hi Nathan,

there are several triathlon clubs in Karlsruhe. This (http://www.lemminge.de/) is the link to my club. Hopefully you can understand it, although it is in german.
Unfortunately I don't live in Karlsruhe myself, so I cannot attend the club trainings (or your training).

There is a contact formular (http://www.lemminge.de/kontakt) on our website where you can ask for more information (of course english is no problem).

Best regards, Matthias

Hello Matthias,

Thanks a lot for the infos, I will for sure look at this website.

What I am searching for is more a "training buddy", but why not a cliub :)

Hey Nathan,

I live in Karlsruhe but currently I'm not training enough to serve as a training buddy. I'm having a bunch of super lazy months, I'm kind of old, and near the end of the field in any kind of competition anyway. ;)

Right now, I'm only swimming, dabbling mostly because I like the water, but as June and the Challenge Kraichgau get closer I'll have to increase my cycling efforts. I'll get through the run somehow.

Where do you usually swim? I swim at the Vierordtbad most of the time, late in the evening when the pool is deserted.
From time to time I'll be at the Europabad, also relatively late when I have a lane to myself.
When the cold water gets bearable in a wetsuit, I prefer lakes. There are a few pretty ones around Karlsruhe.

Cheers,
Renato

Hello schnodo

never heard about the Challenge Kraichgau before, but really cool !

For the swimming, this is exactly the pb : I almost never go in a swimming pool. I live near Europabad but it is so crowded that I don't go there anymore. And I was too lazy to go to another one

And most of all : I am a really bad swimmer : That's why I've never done a triathlon so far !

I guess I've become an okay swimmer and since I've been to every swim clinic from San Diego to Tel Aviv that I could get my hands on, I can probably give you a few pointers on how to survive or even enjoy the swim portion of a triathlon. ;)

Just give me a holla and we'll meet up at the Europabad one Wednesday (my preferred day for that pool) evening for a technique session. :)
