Bike
"Shoes and shirt must be worn at all times."
und
Run:
"Shoes and shirts are required on the run segment."

Athlete Guide S. 4:
"
2017 IRONMAN® Competition Rules apply except as indicated
in the Athlete Guide. In short, IRONMAN® will operate under
the “three strikes and you’re out” principle.
Even though
DRAFTING and BLATANT LITTERING are the
only two violations to incur a time penalty (to be served in the
closest penalty tent, located along the bike course), every type
of violation requires a stop in a penalty tent. Any penalties
incurred on the run course are to be served at the point of
infraction. Any combination of three BLUE CARD violations
results in a DQ."
"TIME PENALTIES
Remember that even though
DRAFTING and LITTERING are the
only violation that incurs a five minute time penalty, you must go
to a penalty tent for any violation to have your number marked.
There will be no penalty tents on the run. If you are penalized on
the run, the official will mark your number on the spot."
